Background:
The Dead Core is a refurbished Rhyolite minning cruiser that has been converted into a fully functional prison vessel meant for the singular purpose of containing any gems that have been found guilty of crimes against the diamonds and the empire. Those found guilty are reduced to their gem, branded with the ship's unique designation symbol, and then placed into a stasis unit. the units are then monitored by agate guards and maintenance crews. 

The ship serves a second purpose as a storage and transportation vessel. The contents of which consist of experiments that required a more controlled environment to operate in, prototypes that are to be relocated to a more secure planet for better testing grounds.

Status: presumed destroyed when brought down above the Sol colony.

Behold! the ship that carried the entire gang to earth. I based the Dead Core off of my rock hammer and just went with that. I just hope the coloring looks better.
